Strickland Metals identifies significant near-surface anomaly at Obradov Potok target in Serbia

Strickland Metals has identified a promising near-surface anomaly at the Obradov Potok target area within its Rogozna gold and base metals project in Serbia, suggesting the emergence of a potentially significant mineral deposit.

Key findings:

  1. Preliminary IP survey results:
    • The induced-polarisation (IP) survey has revealed a strong chargeability target starting at 100 meters below the surface and extending along a 400-meter strike length. This anomaly remains open to both the north and south.
  2. Association with gold and pathfinder anomalies:
    • The identified anomaly is spatially linked with significant gold and pathfinder anomalies in soils, indicating potential extensive mineralization in the region.
  3. Geological context:
    • The Obradov Potok target area, located 2 km west of the known Gradina deposit, is characterized by disseminated sulphides and argillic alteration within volcanic rocks overlying skarn-hosted deposits.

Outlook:

The early recognition of geophysical anomalies similar to those at the neighboring Gradina deposit is encouraging for Strickland Metals. The positive preliminary results from the IP survey at Obradov Potok enhance the prospects of discovering a new deposit at Rogozna, aligning with the company’s exploration strategy.
