Rimac Partners with EVE for European Battery Production

Rimac Technology, a provider of high-performance automotive technology solutions, has partnered with EVE Energy. The Chinese company is a manufacturer of lithium batteries and pioneer of the 46xx cylindrical cell format.

Under the collaboration, the two companies will join forces to produce battery cells in Europe starting in 2027. Rimac will focus on the development and large-scale production of a battery module and pack platform using the cells manufactrued by EVE. The alliance will focus on the production of battery cells used for Rimac’s 46xx platform.

Class-leading energy density

The company already has a number of nominations for high-volume projects with major European OEMs that will use this platform, which creates high-performance battery systems at competitive costs and with fully customizable configurations. The solution is said to meet stringent industry requirements and to offer class-leading energy density, customizable cell-to-pack solutions, and an advanced battery management system.
