Pambili Natural Resources achieves first gold production at Golden Valley mine in Zimbabwe

Pambili Natural Resources Corporation has announced a significant milestone with the production of its first gold from the Golden Valley mine, located in Zimbabwe’s Matabeleland province.

Though formal mining operations at Golden Valley have yet to restart, the company has made progress by completing preliminary underground development. This preparatory work is setting the stage for an upcoming drilling program, which is scheduled to begin later this month. In the meantime, Pambili processed 630 tonnes of material from this underground development, along with historic surface sands, through the Golden Valley plant. This processing resulted in the recovery of 235 grams (7.5 ounces) of gold, with a recovery rate of 0.52 grams per tonne.

The company is also gearing up for the restart of its toll-milling operation and is undertaking further cleanup of historic sands at the site. This is expected to yield additional gold before the commencement of full-scale underground mining. However, given the preliminary nature of the processed material, precise predictions on future yields remain uncertain.

Jon Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Pambili Natural Resources, expressed enthusiasm about this achievement, stating, “The first gold production from the Golden Valley Project marks an exciting milestone for Pambili. Our decision to process material from the off-reef underground development, based on visible mineralization and the expertise of our local team, has proven fruitful. The recovery of gold from this material and the reworking of old sands reinforces our confidence in the potential of Golden Valley.”

Harris further emphasized the importance of the upcoming drilling programs, stating, “Following recommendations from our recent Technical Report, we are committed to fully exploring the extent of Golden Valley’s potential through our planned underground and surface drilling. As we continue to investigate its large-scale prospects, Golden Valley is poised to become an increasingly valuable asset for Pambili.”
